1 RK USB Driver Installation

  1. Open the Rockchip USB driver compressed package (DriverAssitant_v5.1.1) from the materials package.

Driver path: 02-Software Tools>RKTools>windows>DriverAssitant_v5.1.1.zip

  1. After extracting the compressed package, click the driver install (DriverInstall.exe) in the folder.

2 RK Upgrade Tool Usage

  1. Standalone upgrade tool (RKDevTool_Release_v2.84)

  1. Download the image to your local PC.

The materials package contains an image at the path: M4R1 Materials>01-System Image>update.img

  1. Extract the downloaded upgrade tool archive RKDevTool_Release_v2.84.zip and double-click RKDevTool.exe to launch the upgrade tool. Use a dual-male USB cable: connect one end to the PC's USB port and the other to the mainboard's OTG-USB port. Press and hold the Uboot button while connecting the 5V power adapter. Release the Uboot button after the upgrade tool shows "Found a LOADER device".

  1. In the "Upgrade Firmware" interface, click the "Firmware" button and select the image file update.img downloaded in step 2). Then click Upgrade.

  1. After the upgrade succeeds, the device will automatically reboot after about 10 seconds, and the display will show the system desktop.
